Software & Project Licensing

Last Updated: August 12, 2026

This Software & Project Licensing Policy explains the rights and restrictions associated with software projects, source code, downloadable files, documentation, models, and other digital resources purchased or obtained from Projectsvilla.

By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using a Projectsvilla project, you agree to comply with the applicable license terms described below.

1. What You Are Purchasing

Unless otherwise stated on the individual product page, purchasing a Projectsvilla project provides you with a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased digital materials.

The purchase does not automatically transfer ownership or copyright of the Projectsvilla source code to the purchaser.

Depending on the individual product, the purchased materials may include:

  • Source code
  • Python or other programming files
  • Configuration files
  • Project documentation
  • Installation instructions
  • Example files
  • Pretrained model files
  • Sample datasets or sample media
  • Project assets
  • Executable or build files
  • Other digital materials specifically listed on the product page

The exact contents of each purchase are determined by the corresponding product description.

2. Standard Project License

Unless a different license is explicitly stated on the product page, Projectsvilla products are provided under the Standard Project License.

The Standard Project License grants the purchaser permission to:

  • Download and retain the purchased project files.
  • Install and run the project on compatible systems.
  • Study and understand the source code.
  • Modify the source code for personal, educational, research, or internal development purposes.
  • Create derivative implementations for their own use.
  • Use the project as a learning or development reference.
  • Use the project for academic project work, demonstrations, prototypes, and research, subject to applicable institutional requirements.
  • Use the software internally within an organization, where the applicable product and third-party licenses permit such use.

These permissions are subject to the restrictions described below.

3. Source Code Ownership

Purchasing a project does not constitute a transfer or assignment of intellectual property rights in the original Projectsvilla source code.

Projectsvilla, or the applicable copyright owner, retains ownership of its original source code, documentation, project materials, and other intellectual property except where otherwise expressly stated.

The purchaser receives a license to use the materials rather than ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

4. Modification of Source Code

You may modify the purchased source code for your own use, development, research, learning, or internal purposes.

Modified versions may not be redistributed, published, uploaded, sold, licensed, or otherwise made available to third parties in a manner that effectively redistributes the original Projectsvilla project or a substantial portion of its source code.

5. Prohibited Uses

Unless Projectsvilla provides written permission or a separate license expressly allows it, you may not:

  • Resell the purchased source code.
  • Redistribute the original project files.
  • Share the complete source code with third parties.
  • Upload the source code to public repositories such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar platforms.
  • Publish the complete project as a free download.
  • Sell the project through another marketplace.
  • Distribute the project through file-sharing websites.
  • Share purchased download links publicly.
  • Make the purchased project available to classmates, customers, employees, or other third parties in a manner that provides them with the underlying source code without appropriate licensing.
  • Claim that the original Projectsvilla source code was independently created by you.
  • Repackage and sell the Projectsvilla project as your own source-code product.
  • Use Projectsvilla materials to create a competing project marketplace or source-code library.
  • Remove or alter copyright or license notices where such notices are required to remain intact.

6. Academic and Student Use

Projectsvilla projects may be used for learning, experimentation, academic study, research, demonstrations, and prototype development, subject to the rules of the relevant educational institution.

Purchasers are responsible for complying with their institution’s academic integrity, plagiarism, project submission, citation, and authorship policies.

Projectsvilla does not authorize or encourage submitting purchased source code as entirely original work where doing so would violate an institution’s academic rules.

Students and researchers should appropriately acknowledge external resources where required by their institution, supervisor, publication venue, or applicable rules.

7. Commercial and Professional Use

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, the Standard Project License may permit internal or professional use of the software, but it does not grant unrestricted rights to redistribute, sublicense, resell, or commercially distribute the Projectsvilla source code.

If you intend to:

  • Sell a software product based substantially on the purchased source code;
  • Deploy the source code as part of a commercial software offering;
  • Provide the source code to customers;
  • Include substantial portions of the source code in a product distributed to third parties;
  • Create a SaaS or hosted service based substantially on the project; or
  • Redistribute or sublicense the source code,

you should contact Projectsvilla regarding whether a separate commercial or extended license is required.

Where applicable, Projectsvilla may offer a separate commercial licensing arrangement.

8. One Purchaser / Authorized Users

Unless a product page specifies otherwise, a purchase is intended for the purchaser’s own use.

The purchaser should not distribute the source code or downloadable files to multiple unrelated users or organizations.

For organizations requiring access by multiple developers, teams, students, employees, or contractors, Projectsvilla may require an appropriate multi-user or commercial license.

9. Third-Party Software and Open-Source Components

Projectsvilla projects may incorporate or depend upon third-party software, libraries, frameworks, models, datasets, APIs, fonts, or other components.

Examples may include:

  • Python
  • OpenCV
  • PyTorch
  • TensorFlow
  • Ultralytics
  • YOLO models
  • NumPy
  • Pandas
  • PyQt
  • MediaPipe
  • PaddleOCR
  • ByteTrack
  • Other open-source libraries and frameworks

Third-party components are not automatically owned or relicensed by Projectsvilla.

Such components remain subject to their respective copyright notices, licenses, terms of use, and usage restrictions.

The purchaser is responsible for reviewing and complying with applicable third-party licenses when using, modifying, deploying, or distributing a project.

Where a third-party license imposes requirements that differ from this Projectsvilla license, the applicable third-party license governs that component.

10. AI Models and Model Weights

Some Projectsvilla projects may include, download, or depend upon pretrained AI/ML models or model weights.

The availability of a model within a Projectsvilla project does not necessarily mean that Projectsvilla owns or grants unrestricted rights to that model.

Model weights and AI models may be subject to separate licenses or terms imposed by their respective developers or providers.

Customers are responsible for complying with those terms, particularly when using models for commercial deployment or redistribution.

11. Datasets and Media

Where sample datasets, images, videos, audio files, or other media are included or referenced, those materials may be subject to separate copyright, privacy, database, or licensing restrictions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the Projectsvilla license should not be interpreted as granting unrestricted rights to redistribute third-party datasets or media.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their intended use complies with applicable rights and licenses.

12. APIs and External Services

Some projects may require third-party APIs, cloud services, paid services, API keys, or other external resources.

Purchasing a Projectsvilla project does not necessarily include access to such third-party services.

Customers may be required to obtain their own accounts, API keys, subscriptions, or licenses.

Any third-party service remains subject to the provider’s own terms and pricing.

13. Updates and Support

Unless explicitly stated on the product page, purchasing a Projectsvilla project does not guarantee lifetime updates, future versions, feature additions, or compatibility with every future version of third-party software.

If updates or technical support are included with a particular product, the applicable terms will be stated on the product page.

14. No Transfer of License

The license granted to the original purchaser may not be sold, transferred, assigned, sublicensed, or given to another person or organization without prior written permission from Projectsvilla.

If ownership of a business or organization changes, a separate licensing arrangement may be required where the project is being transferred as part of that business.

15. License Violations

If a purchaser violates the applicable license terms, Projectsvilla may take reasonable steps to protect its intellectual property and other rights, including:

  • Suspending or terminating access to associated services;
  • Revoking access to future updates or support;
  • Requesting removal of unauthorized copies;
  • Requesting removal of unauthorized public repositories or downloads;
  • Pursuing other remedies available under applicable law.

Termination or revocation of a license does not affect rights or obligations that are intended to survive termination.

16. No Warranty of Third-Party Compatibility

Projectsvilla projects may depend on operating systems, hardware, programming languages, frameworks, libraries, AI models, drivers, APIs, and other third-party technologies.

Projectsvilla does not guarantee that a project will remain compatible with every future version of such third-party technologies.

Customers should review the technical requirements provided on the relevant product page before purchase.

17. Product-Specific License Terms

Certain Projectsvilla products may have licensing terms that differ from this Standard Project License.

Where a product-specific license or license notice is provided, those terms will apply to that product.

The applicable license terms will be communicated on the product page, within the downloaded materials, or through another appropriate notice.

18. Licensing for Custom Requirements

Organizations, businesses, developers, educational institutions, or other customers requiring rights beyond the Standard Project License may contact Projectsvilla to discuss a separate licensing arrangement.

Depending on the intended use, Projectsvilla may offer:

  • Commercial usage rights
  • Multi-user licensing
  • Organization licensing
  • Deployment licensing
  • Extended distribution rights
  • Custom licensing arrangements

Any such rights must be expressly agreed to in writing.

19. Copyright and Intellectual Property

All original Projectsvilla content and materials remain protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

This includes, where applicable:

  • Source code
  • Project architecture
  • Documentation
  • Original graphics and assets
  • Website content
  • Product descriptions
  • Original instructional materials
  • Branding and trademarks

No rights are granted beyond those expressly provided under the applicable license.

20. Acceptance of License Terms

By purchasing, downloading, accessing, installing, modifying, or using a Projectsvilla project, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the applicable licensing terms.

If you do not agree with the applicable license terms, you should not use or redistribute the purchased materials.

21. Changes to This Licensing Policy

Projectsvilla may update this Licensing Policy from time to time.

Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised Last Updated date.

Changes will generally apply to future purchases and will not retroactively alter license rights already granted unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed otherwise.

22. Contact

For licensing questions, commercial licensing, organization-wide usage, redistribution requests, or other licensing matters, please contact Projectsvilla through the contact information provided on the website.
